Dear Market Flow Trader Family,
Some of you may know that my dad was an Air Force jet engine mechanic, retiring as a Master Sergeant after twenty-three years of service. My early days were filled with struggle, though my folks ensured I wasn’t aware of it then. Enlisted men were paid poorly in the ’60s and ’70s. We kept a garden, Mom made most of my clothes, and Dad kept our primer-spotted relics running. When Dad got transferred from Bunker Hill, Indiana, to Pease AFB, New Hampshire, the Air Force moved our single-wide trailer across the country. We lived in that trailer until just before Dad’s retirement, when we moved into an unfinished home. Certainly not ideal, but it was what we could afford at the time. My sister and I slept in the dining room and my parents slept in the living room for three years, while Dad single-handedly finished the upstairs (with ZERO construction experience). If you came to my home after it was finished, you may have perceived we were reasonably well off. That is a flaw in our nature, don’t you think? We see a finished product and seldom consider the process or the struggles that came before.
“The reason a lot of people do not recognize opportunity is because it usually goes around wearing overalls looking like hard work.” ~ Thomas A. Edison.
Patrick’s journey is out there for all of us to see. We know about his family, where he came from, and we have almost seven years of videos documenting his trading career—the good and the bad. Then there are the so-called “gurus” out there who are selling “the dream.” Some of those people are outright liars: they show you pictures of houses and cars, but their success is in marketing, not trading. Trust me: I can sniff out a trading phony in about ten seconds. I know what an A+ setup (EDGE) looks like and what good mechanics look like (PROCESS). Sure, Patrick, the YouTube guy, sometimes trades wildly and a bit too large; that is for entertainment. However, when he sits down without all the distractions, he knows how to find and trade quality setups. Thirty-eight straight winners last week in a real-money account. No B.S.
If you are already a member of the Market Flow Trader Community, trading with Reven (Sage) at the Live Trading Desk, then you know we are not flashy. Quality trading isn’t just not flashy; it’s downright boring. Quality trading is 99% patience and 1% execution. We sit around, waiting, checking our boxes as setups form, or taking notes from a Master Trader, and then we wait some more. If you show up in the room as a newer trader without a proven edge, and start trying to call the tops and bottoms, trading NQ moves with dangerous stops, or asking questions about “trade copiers,” Sage is going to call you out. Traders are not born; they are taught. Slow down, trader.

I hope you were able to catch Taylor’s Zoom call on Thursday. In his private one-on-one coaching, he explained, most people come to him seeking help with their MINDSET. However, after a few questions, it becomes evident that their struggle is not MINDSET at all, but EDGE. Taylor says, “If you can’t explain your EDGE in simple, concrete terms and tell me your Profit Factor over a reasonable sample size, you have no EDGE at all.” That’s some harsh truth, Taylor!
In case you missed it, Taylor also formally announced time-sensitive pricing for his Consistency Accelerator Program. Considering the cost of bad trading versus the accessibility of his program's new subscription-based pricing, I don’t know why anyone would hesitate to seek out his quality mentorship. Check out that opportunity HERE.
“I’ve paid THOUSANDS for trading rooms and coaching in the past. You guys are real coaches. I feel like everyone at MFT is invested in my success. Thank you, thank you, thank you!” ~L.M, MFT member
When you join Market Flow Trader, you are bound to be asked, Why are you here? And answers are as unique as our members themselves. Some come for “the hang,” but most come because they are looking for support, direction, and a path to trading success. There are no guarantees in this world, but one thing I know: When you surround yourself with people who have already achieved what you wish to achieve, your chances of success improve. I joined for “the hang,” but I can honestly say I am a better trader today than I was six months ago. If you are ready to join a group of hard-working, ever-growing traders, invested in YOU and your journey, I hope to see you at the Live Trading Desk tomorrow, premarket.
To your Success,
SherylTrades (Trading Goddess)
